Salary - £20,000 Location - Stoke Mandeville Position - Permanent

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

A diverse family business within agriculture seeks a candidate with excellent experience within a busy accounting and administrative environment.

  • MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The successful candidate will be providing key support to the Financial Director and Management Accountant through the fulfilment of duties in relation the business’s finance and operational data.

    • Maintain Sage ledgers for various businesses, bank reconciliations, VAT returns.
    • Production of monthly variance analysis including commentary.
    • Manage post, sort/scan invoices, payments, file information appropriately (paper and electronic).
    • On specialist software, record, analyse, report on timesheet data. Generate sales invoices from timesheets.
    • Manager ordering, deliveries, paperwork and payments.
    • Manage FD’s emails and action replies as advised by FD.
    • Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities eg. Promotions, advertising.
    • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries within an appropriate time limit. Use customer database and update relevant information held in these systems.
    • Be the main initial point of contact for all business finance contact.
  • SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • The ideal candidate will have an organised accounting and administrative brain.
    • Experience of Sage Accounting and Excel (formula’s, data analysis, input and manipulation) is essential.
    • Proven experience at a similar level and desire to expand the role is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication skills, motivation to understand and make a difference, be well organised and have a hands-on approach.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Whilst qualifications are not necessary to apply for the role, sponsorship of further accounting studies would be considered where appropriate.
